Macrobiotic Hawaii by Leslie Ashburn is heading to Kauai!
Leslie Ashburn is a graduate of the Kushi Macrobiotic International Extension Program in Osaka, Japan. Her background includes macrobiotic cooking, health diagnosis, healing; principles, as well as shiatsu. After returning to Oahu from Japan, she has been a passionately teaching, cooking, and sharing vegan macrobiotic principles and recipes with the community, changing stereotypes of what it means to eat healthy. She works with a wide variety of community members, including preparing delicious healing meals for seminars with the local living treasure Dr. Terry Shintani.
Leslie’s recipes are delicious and simple to prepare and focus on plant-based, local, organic ingredients. The classes are fun, friendly, casual, and interactive. Feel energized by your food as you cook your way to better health.
In this class you will see Leslie demonstrate:
- Green Rolls
- Quinoa Tabouli
- Asian Vegetable Salad with Tahini Dressing
- Blueberry Kanten
You taste the food and take home the recipes and other materials.
Prepare to have your taste buds explode, your tummy feel full and comfortable, and to experience firsthand the healing power of food.
Class will be held at Kukui Grove.
